Executive film producer, professional boxer & philanthropist with a degree in Law. A global brand ambassador with UNICEF, Cartier and Kerzner and recipient of TIME magazine 2023 Women of the year.  Alongside her work with UNICEF, Ramla runs her own charity ‘The Sisters Club’ founded in January 2018 which now supports over 2,000 women each and every month across the U.S & U.K. Ramla is the first Somali female boxer in history to have competed professionally. The first woman to have competed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the first to have competed for her native country of Somalia at the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020). She made history as the first-person male or female to have won an international gold medal for Somalia in 2019.She has appeared on the front covers British Vogue, Wall Street Journal, ELLE, Harpers Bazar, Financial Times, DAZED, Guardian Observer and The Week to name a few.
